WAYWARD TEENAGERS
The Future "Today"
~God's Thoughts with wayward teenagers ~
LOVE them, PRAY for them, STAY in their corner!! As parents, one of the hardest things to "go through" is having wayward teenagers. We have lived through that and now are seeing our children turn towards God. Our prayer for parents who are going though this is that you remain steadfast in your love for Jesus and your love for your child or children. Experience has taught us that some kids, no matter how much you love, pray for, yell at, ground, coerce, etc are bent on being the proverbial "wayward child". Jesus will see you through, even though it looks completely black and hopeless. We have had children who have delved into the occult, been on drugs, sold drugs, hitchhiked across the country and back many times. Sometimes we didn't even know where they were-- if they were alive or dead or what.
One child even threatened me. Now, three of our four kids live within miles of us. Two have given their lives over to the Lord; and they are now endeavoring to have Christian families and raise their kids in the church!. One is teetering on the fence and leaning toward Christ. We are still praying much for the last one.
Many, many prayers have gone up and many, many tears have been shed. Sleepless nights where our hearts have been poured out over our kids.
This is meant to be an encouragement for all the people who have wayward teenagers. Our hearts and empathy goes out to you. If we can offer any hope, encouragement, or you just need someone to be in your corner spiritually, etc.
